Within the Science Communications Lab, we study how people engage with, understand, and respond to scientific information. Our research explores the communication challenges and opportunities that influence public understanding of issues related to agriculture, natural resources, environmental sustainability, and the life sciences.
Through interdisciplinary research, evidence-based training programs, and stakeholder engagement, we work to strengthen communication between scientists and the communities they serve.

Student Research Programs
Faculty in the Science Communications Lab are committed to training undergraduate and graduate students to study the science of science communications in the context of the agricultural, life and environmental sciences and promoting research as a necessary skill for all students graduating with a degree in science communications. The Lab provides research opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a research-focused degree within the agricultural and life sciences.
