Agricultural Communications and Journalism Program
Agricultural communicators are truth-seekers committed to sharing science in an unbiased and objective manner. Students in the agricultural communications and journalism program at Texas A&M University gain foundations to dissect and contextualize complex scientific information and translate science for the public through the most relevant and effective mediums and platforms. Students learn how to report unbiased news about science to an ever increasingly science-sceptic world and work tirelessly to test consumer messages and sources of those messages. Students are skillful in using new media and appreciate the special benefits of traditional media that still delivers world news to rural communities.
The AGRILEADER
The AGRILEADER is a student-produced magazine published twice a year. Agricultural communications and journalism students enrolled in AGCJ 405 Design and Publication in Agriculture and Life Sciences are responsible for all aspects of the magazine production, including planning, writing, layout and design, advertising, and distribution.
